CMU Mavericks Building Event

Thank you Colorado Mesa University for your continued support of Habitat for Humanity of Mesa County. Their fabulous faculty and staff have been onsite helping us build homes for Destinee and Amber and their families! These 2 homes were designed by CMU Tech students and are being built through the volunteer efforts of CMU and CMU Tech! Thank you for spending your time with us and helping us to make the dream of affordable home ownership for these 2 local families come true!

There are many ways to help support Habitat for Humanity of Mesa County!

We LOVE to have groups like CMU & CMU Tech come out and get involved by directly building homes with us on the construction site, working side by side with the homeowners in our program. Please contact akaiser@hfhmesa.org to arrange your team building event.

We understand that hardhats and hammers aren't for everyone, for those that would still like to support our mission from the comfort of your home or office we do accept financial donations and In Kind gift donations*. All financial donations stay in our community and help a local family like Destinee and Amber build an affordable home! We also have our ReStore located at 2936 North Ave that you can bring in your gently used household items and building supplies to be resold to help support our mission of affordable housing!

*Your donation may be eligible for a Colorado tax credit. By donating to Habitat for Humanity of Mesa County you or your business may qualify for an Enterprise Zone tax credit of 25% on cash donations and 12.5% on In Kind gifts, up to a maximum yearly credit of $100,000.

On average a Habitat Home is a three bedroom 1,200 square-foot house. Using over 150 pounds in nails and over 400 2x4's. With the cost of supplies going up so does the cost of building a home. Every little bit helps and we thank you for taking the time to think about and donate to Habitat for Humanity of Mesa County.
